That we can end up being worried and feeling sad, confused and scared, or we may not yet be certain why we feel this way.

Well the good news is: talking to someone can make you feel better and even help you find a solution. There are lots of people and services available for you and who want to help you.
So here is a list of some of the things you might be worried about:

How Do These Things Make You Feel?

Abuse creates all kinds of emotions including, feeling rejected, frightened, lonely, confused, angry, unloved, guilty or ashamed or unimportant.

What can make abuse feel more confusing is when the person you look up to is the person who is abusing you and hurting you.

It does not mean it’s your fault or that anyone is to blame for it happening.

It’s OK if you’re not really sure what Abuse is. We can find ourselves being abused for all kinds of reasons.

It’s OK to want to find out more about this difficult subject so YOU can help keep Yourself Safe.

Young people in particular may find themselves hurt by an adult or even another young person, this hurt may occur in many ways, and abuse in any form is never your choice or even your fault.

Therefore, if something is worrying you or making you scared and you’re not sure if its abuse then it’s important to talk to someone you trust. If possible, get in touch with one of the services listed below and tell them what has happened to you.
